I think he'll be all right.

I thought Chip continued to play well, regardless of where he's at in the outfield, and he's swinging the bat good.

It was the first game we played like that. It was kind of a typical Spring Training game.

I just can't stand still. One of these days I'm going to have to stand around, but while I can still do it, I'm going to do it.

We're not trying to make a lot of changes. We're mainly trying to simplify things and work on building chemistry in the clubhouse. This group is pretty well low-maintenance. For the most part I've just been trying to stay out of the way.

He doesn't have to throw 96 or 97 [mph]. He struck out a couple guys at 93, with unbelievable sink. The ball was just heavy.

He's a veteran guy who understands what a guy is doing and just put the barrel on it.

Mike is struggling. We can't get him in there.

That's not enough for a guy who's scrambling, fighting for a job.

He threw the ball well. He had good velocity on his fastball and a good breaking ball. He was impressive.

I like his stuff, but he's still learning how to pitch.

He's just a good baseball player. He's fun to be around.

Obviously, he's taking care of himself a lot better than he used to. I just love the way he competes, and I love the way he cares. He's a good teammate. That's what I like.

Depending on what year it is, with the young players we have coming up in the organization, I would guess there's going to be a few of our guys in that game.

I don't think any of us liked the fact we were unable to make a decision. The thing is, I don't want to make a decision until we are absolute. I don't know if we're ever going to be 100 percent absolute sure, but I want to be as close to that as possible and right now I'm not.
