I trained as hard for this camp as any before and I came to Lake Placid ready to compete and ready to succeed. This hasn't been easy news for me and it is going to take some time to absorb and understand this. It's not what I trained for and it's certainly not what I expected. That said, I'm extremely proud of the players who were named to the roster. They're great athletes, great competitors, and they will represent our country with pride and honor.

Man or woman, Cammi Granato is one of the most impressive hockey leaders I've ever come across.

I had a good camp. I felt like I was really going. Moving well, shooting well, and confident in me and our team, ... I was never told I was on a bubble to make the team.

I'd like to think I have enough self-awareness to know when my time as a player is done, ... But if for some reason, unbeknownst to me, I couldn't see when the end was for me, I have a support group of high-level hockey people, family, teammates and friends, who give me honest assessments of my game all the time. They would tell me.

It hurts when you know something is so wrong and there is nothing you can really do about it,
