We graduated so many seniors that this is really a young team. We're going to take our lumps just because we're so young. We've got new pitching because we lost five pitchers. We lost all three catchers. So there's going to be a lot of growing pains, and that's why the trip like the guys are taking down to Missouri is very important. They're going to get a lot of games in and we can kind of sort things out a little bit to try to get ready for conference play down the road.

We only made two out of the four technical free throws. So it wasn't like it was a six-point swing or anything. They just had a hard time making shots after that and we executed down the stretch and did the things we needed to do to win the game.

Miranda hit the three free throws, and they go down and miss an easy shot to end the half. That was a pretty big swing. An eight-point lead at that point in the game, with the way things were going, was pretty nice.

Ali stepped up and had a nice game. She made a couple of tough shots inside and was able to get to the free-throw line a few times. Miranda also stepped up her level of play.

They got a couple of buckets late. But we also had some really good looks at the basket down the stretch, and we just couldn't get any to go down. We were down by 16 in the first half and came back, and we played really well in the second half to get back in it. We just couldn't make the shots at the end.

They played pretty good defense. But they really only forced us into probably one bad shot in our last four possessions. We just had some open shots that wouldn't fall. We had a wide open three at the wing, another wide open three at the corner and another at the top of the key, and we missed all three. That was one of the big things that hurt us, was our perimeter shooting. Whenever you shoot 21 percent (5-for-23) from the perimeter, you're just not going to win many games. Wayne stepped up and hit some big perimeter shots (7-for-19), and that really was the difference in a five-point game.

That's what good teams are supposed to do, especially when they're at home. Good teams always have an answer when they're at home. We had four quick points, and then we didn't really score again for the next several minutes. They really played well for about six minutes there in the first half, and we had some problems executing on our end.

We have been playing good team defense. The players are really helping each other out defensively and doing the things we are supposed to be doing. If we get a little bit of offense to go with our defense, we really believe that we can play with any team in that region.

Hall and Becker are playing exceptional right now. If we get some good play from our perimeter kids, both our starters and off the bench, we are a pretty good team.

Regis has an outstanding three-point shooting team. It will be a real challenge for us to get out to that three-point line and guard their shooters.

These seniors helped get us 24 wins and into the post-season national tournament. They brought the program back to the level where we always want to be.

It certainly didn't feel like a 10-point win, I can say that.

If we had played our best game, we probably still wouldn't have won. As long as they have the inside and outside going like they did today, I don't know if anyone can beat them. UND has had a lot of good teams over the years, but I don't know if I've ever seen a better one.

We knew we were the underdog. We knew we needed to stay with them early. They didn't miss early, they didn't miss in the middle and they didn't miss late.

You just can't defend inside and outside at the same time.
