My father's half of the family is from Maryland, so I guess that's the part that's in me. I continue to play well up here.

Sometimes I think it's because the freshmen aren't used to playing with me. I'm still in a pass-first mode. That's the type of player that I am and that's the type of mode that I'm trying to get out of, because a lot of freshmen look to me to take the shot and sometimes I might see something that they might not see. ... It's just a few chemistry things that we need to take a look at.

It was nerve racking. But at the same time, you just want to go out and do the best that you can. For the most part, just try to stay the same player that you've been all year. Don't try to do anything over your head or try to do anything spectacular.

When you get tired, especially in this game, get yourself out of there so we can have fresh people in at all times so we won't have to stop running or take a play off on defense. Against a team like Duke, you can't afford that.

Big players show up in big times games. That's the type of player he's been all year.

We've taken a slide the last couple of games. We're trying to get back to where we were at the beginning of the season. We're trying to get guys having fun, concentrate on doing the right things during the game and playing hard. Even though it's Arizona (and not an ACC team) it's a big game for us confidence-wise and to get back on track.

I told him that we were going to come down here and get us one. But he had a great performance tonight. He got me in foul trouble early, so I couldn't play him like I wanted to.

I kind of jinxed myself.

We're a lot better and our freshmen are definitely turning into sophomores. They are doing exactly what they need to do in order to help us win games -- and not just games -- but big games.

Man, he gets ridden more than a cowboy riding his horse.

Not as gratifying as it can be. We have five games left, and our fate is in our own hands. We can continue to creep, or we can fall off the earth. Hopefully, we'll be there in the end.

Other guys started talking, and I just shook my head. That kind of gives me a break sometimes, when other guys step up and say things and aren't just looking at me. Other leaders are emerging on this team, and that's something we're definitely going to need, especially going down this last little stretch that we have.

In the second half we came out and attacked more offensively and locked down on defense. We made them turn the ball over a lot more than we did. (Terry) definitely stepped up and made big shots. It was his hometown so he wanted to come up here and play good and he did.

That's definitely something big for us. It shows that we respect everybody but fear no one.

We know what we lost, and we know what we have. I knew the caliber of players we had left on this team.
