They might as well take the defensive player of the year award and send it to Ben. He's been on a mission in the last three weeks, and when you look at all of the things he's doing - rebounding, blocking shots and making steals - he's phenomenal.

They had guys who looked like they were the Bud Light Daredevils going off the trampoline. One time it looked like a volleyball (match) where one guy fakes it and the next guy goes up and spikes it. They were all over the rim.

They pounded the glass both ways. I saw more lob dunks tonight than I saw in the previous 56 games.

(The Lakers) were extremely aggressive. We got pounded on the glass and they took things to the basket. We played out of character defensively. We were switching and getting little (guys) matched on big (guys) and we took the easy way out by settling for jump shots.

He was incredible. We had a hand in his face all night, and he goes 5-for-5 on threes in the first half. Some of those shots were unbelievable.

I thought we made great adjustments in the second half. You can talk about turning it up, but I think the big thing is that our team has the ability to see how a team plays, then make the adjustments to get into their weaknesses. You can turn up your energy, but you still have to be able to beat the other team.

They're both very deserving because you look at where their team is at and what their team is doing and how important they are to their teams. But you know what? Our players, we're not driven by that. We're driven by rings, and so those type of things, that's not even up for discussion.

For a playoff-type situation, that's maybe the most important in terms of having home court.

I thought for playoff situations that was maybe the most important, to have home court in the Eastern Conference. With the way that it's set up, 2-2-1-1-1, I think home court becomes extremely important.

I just told the guys, we have to get dirty. We have to do what we do best, and that is putting our nose to the grindstone and going after them.

Ben was phenomenal. People talk about Bruce Bowen and others as the best defender. Bruce is a great individual defender. Ben is a great individual defender. But Ben Wallace might be one of the best that's played the game as a team defender.
