We decided last night to help inside because they're pretty physical. We knew they like to go inside so it was a defensive test for us, too.

We got tougher as it went on,

I see more cars stopped for speeding than I do trucks. They just can't stand to be behind a truck. They just gotta be in front of it.

I thought we had a great stretch of basketball early in the second half. We played well enough to keep the lead. Hopefully this is the start of becoming a good basketball team.

We had more healthy bodies than they did, and it was probably going to be a factor in the second half.

Just to get that thing to six at halftime took a lot of effort. I've seen that before. You're almost in a trap in a situation, where their best scorer (Grier) doesn't play, they lose a game probably everybody in Minnesota thought they should have won. ... Good teams come back after a situation like that, and we happened to be the next game.

The big thing was they were averaging 26 free throws a game and we held them to 15. That helped us a lot. I thought the contact was there at both ends of the court. You try to adjust to how the game is being called.

It was important for us to get a quality win. Hopefully, this is a building block.

I'm very proud of our team. We did a great job in just about every situation.

I was very pleased beating BC, but that seems like it was a couple months ago now. You want to continue to improve. Once you get to a certain point in your schedule, you get to where you're just preparing for that next game, basically. That's not the time of year you can get better. This is a time where we've had practices, [and] even though it's during exams, you expect to get better.

Our defensive intensity was really good to start the game. I had to sell the idea that if you play really good defense most of the time and you're struggling a bit offensively, the defense will break some things loose.

I was very pleased the way we came out and the way we played. A lot of good teams don't do that.

Hopefully we learned a good lesson tonight. They made us pay until we got it turned around. I'll just remember we didn't play well in the second half.
