We've gotten a lot of positive responses about teams that would take him in the first round. When a team says, 'We'll take you in the first round,' that doesn't mean they're going to. That means they would. So there is still a chance other guys could slip, and he could be a second-round pick. He understands that.

It?s a chance. He understands that. When we recruited him, he never said that he wanted to leave early. I think he?s as surprised that he?s in this position and had to make a decision as anybody. And that?s what was so difficult for him. He was not prepared to make this decision during the basketball season. He was not even thinking about it.

We take the responsibility of representing United States basketball very seriously. You realize the enormity of who you are representing -- the best players in the world, the best coaches in the world -- and you just want to do it justice.

What we are most proud of is these young guys really wanted to be part of the U.S. basketball team. They didn't care who was the leading scorer. That's unique these days.

I was very pleased with our defensive effort, no matter what the score was we kept a very intense effort each possession and I was proud of our guys for that.

I just wanted our guys to settle down. We have experienced guys; they know how to handle it.

That's something our team can do because of our depth. I have confidence in our guys, one through twelve, and we have good team quickness. That helps us create turnovers.

We have seen (Russia), they are very talented and a very tough, disciplined team. It should be a great battle.
