I told our hitters we are going to get in situations where our pitchers aren't going to be able to hold (opponents) down as they have been. We scored seven runs. You would think seven runs would be plenty. It's just a little frustrating.

There is indication that next weekend another storm is coming in. A system which will cool things down a bit and bring some precipitation.

It's just a slight chance of rain at this point.

All of a sudden they had the bases loaded and no outs, with Colin Thompson on the mound. He did a great job of getting out of that situation.

It put us in a hole. We obviously can't give up three in the first inning.

They just did a nice job of doing what they needed to do.

In the second game, we got back into it because we were patient. We got people on base and came up with a timely hit here or there and got on top of it.

Offensively, we need to be able to respond and score a few runs here and there to get back in the ballgame.

For us, everything is too much of a deficit when we get down five or six runs because we're only averaging two or three runs a game. That might be a bit of a confidence thing with our guys.

Towers consistently takes good at bats. That's the reason we've put him in there more often and moved Justin (Ross) to play left field. That allows us to put both of them in the lineup.

In the foothills, that's where the heaviest rain will be. Down here in the Valley we're not looking at any significant flooding to threaten homes.

We still expect to get these storm systems coming through and dumping occasional heavy rains.

We needed to get out and win some games. We picked up two of them, so it was a good and positive experience.

We really got after their starter, and then we got into their bullpen, and that helped us out.
