Who can persevere, who can hang in there? The story of the year.

He was just magnificent. He put the ball on the deck, drove from 22 or 23 (feet), made threes. He really was a handful.

I don't think the Big East or college basketball or the (selection) committee should feel any embarrassment if that team goes to the NCAA Tournament. (But) we were home and Denham, some of our veteran players, Rashad, etc., they made some terrific plays down the stretch.

These guys are leaving behind some legacy.

We thought Louisville was getting better. Little did I know that they were playing that much better. … They were well-prepared for us. They were in a mind-set, and that comes from Rick. I've been in a (locker) room with some talented teams and some teams that bordered on greatness. But I don't know if I've been in a room before with so many kids that have sacrificed so much.

Our veteran players made some terrific plays down the stretch.

There's a chance that one of the parents will be moving up here with one of the players if everything goes through. I shouldn't pre-judge, but in most instances like this, they face a loss of housing privileges. If that happens, one of the parents will be moving with one of the players.

I think he actually smiled twice. He's had conversations with everybody, he holds court, and he's been far and away the most vocal leader, which I never in my lifetime would have ever guessed. And the basketball? He's been at a whole different level - really, really good.
