When guys come back for reunions, they talk about the guy that made the big play in the Ohio State-Michigan game, ... That's just the legacy that's left and I'm sure the same thing goes up there when people come back and talk about the great pride they have in their program.

They were never gone. You saw what their defense did a year ago. Offensively, I thought they struggled a year ago because they had (Zack) Mills part of the time and they had Robinson part of the time. They were different guys and it was hard to get a real flow.

Of course, we believe the greatest rivalry is Ohio State-Michigan. It's played each year at the end of the regular season, many times impacting the Big Ten championship, and it's played in front of more than 106,000 fans every year.

You never know for sure in the preseason how teams are going to be. You can make your best guess based on the people that are returning, and that type of thing. But the thing about the Big Ten, we play a grueling out-of-conference schedule. And then, when you get into the league and you go into those opposing stadiums, it's hard to win. Our stadiums are incredible. It's like you're already down by a touchdown when you walk in the door.

That was probably the backbreaker -- 24-10 is a two-score game. There is always pretty good hope even if you haven't been moving the ball. 31-10 and you haven't been moving it -- that probably took a little steam out of them.

Most growth is through adversity. You've got to fight a little bit to grow. That, in my mind, may be one of the reasons why Troy's had the extensive growth that he's had.

This is too tough a ballgame. Guys only want to go out there if they can contribute.

One thing I always believe about recruiting is you end up where you should, and things work out. But you have to go and do the work, and Brady's gone and done the work. He's taken his experiences and grown from them.
