I don't expect on Sunday for the Carolina Panthers to feel sorry for us. In their heart, I'm sure they will. But once that clock starts, I'm not going to run around and catch the ball and not expect Julius Peppers to knock my head off.

Being for real, it's not about the New Orleans Saints; it's about those people sitting on those cots, trying to find their kids. We love the people around the nation who have poured out their hearts to us. We're going to do what we have to do to win football games. But the game is the game. Afterward, our focus is right back on New Orleans.

All people have asked of me was, 'Joe, please win football games for us. Give us some kind of hope,' ... And that is what makes us feel so good. It wasn't about who made plays or who did what. It was about winning that football game for the fans in New Orleans and around the world, because our fans are everywhere.

I heard the stories from the people that came crying on my shoulder saying, 'Joe, I lost everything. I don't know where my son is. I don't know where my daughter is,' ... Right now they're in disarray. They're still trying to find their families. So I can't speak enough about how much my heart goes out to them. This game was for the fans.

But it's not about the New Orleans Saints now. It's about all those people on those cots trying to find their kids.

The people that lost everything, they have to sit on cots to watch this team and hope we win for New Orleans,

We didn't really accomplish what we wanted to do. Going straight down the field and scoring a touchdown is what we wanted to do, and obviously that did not happen. We have to go back to the film and the drawing board and look at it.

Without a doubt, he's taking it hard. Not to mention the fact that he was going with the fourth group, and in his heart his skills were definitely higher, above that. But things happen for a reason.

San Antonio has embraced us to another level, ... They honestly have and we appreciate it and we won't forget it.
