We know he's got a great arm, but he used more of his pitches tonight. He pitched a little more. We've been trying to get the inexperienced guys to do that, and he did. That's a great outing for him to build from.

He's got a lot to learn about pitching. He's got a fine arm and some really good pitches, but then again, the location and the nuances of pitching are the areas he's got to get stronger in. Physically, he's got very good stuff. We've just got to stay with him regarding becoming more of a pitcher.

Apparently, he made the right call. I went out there because Tomas was arguing as vehemently as he was, so I went out. But I guess replays indicate that he was right.
