If there is a million, or less, or more, the meaning of this day will be determined by what we do tomorrow to create a movement, a real movement among our people.

We have seen an unprecedented number of black leaders of organizations come together to speak to Americans with one voice ... this has never happened in our history.

This time, the day after the march is when the real work begins,

I firmly believe that if the people on those rooftops had blond hair and blue eyes and pale skin, something would have been done in a more timely manner,

Well no, ... No, there's too many people who think just like me and they're not nuts.

For five days, the government did not act. Lives were lost. We charge America with criminal neglect.

God has smiled upon us today with this beautiful gathering of our people, ... This is the beginning of a new movement where all of our brothers and sisters, black, brown, red and white, will work collectively to address the many issues that affect our people and the poor in this country. We must pull together and use our God given talents and resources to improve the devastating conditions of our people and lift them to a higher level. Only when we pull together will we realize the greatness that God has in store for African Americans.

The government will never do for the poor of this nation until and unless we organize effectively to make government respond to the needs of the poor,

The Millions More Movement is challenging all of us to rise above the things that have kept us divided in the past, by focusing us on the agenda of the Millions More Movement to see how all of us, with all of our varied differences, can come together and direct our energy, not at each other, but at the condition of the reality of the suffering of our people, that we might use all of our skills, gifts and talents to create a better world for ourselves, our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren,

Never exalt people because they're in your family; never exalt people because they're your color; never exalt people because they're your kinfolk. Exalt them because they're worthy.

There's no one who has the right to judge you.

As a result of that, America desires a moderate Islam; an Islam that America can control; an Islam that America can give direction to and give orders to its leaders.
