Everyone went on trying to practice and do things as usual. But it was always in the back of guys' minds.

Oh, yeah. I think he's still with us, as far as I know. I don't know what the doctors are saying. But as far as I know, he'll still be here.

He's not the typical second-year quarterback. He's a very smart guy and he's big. If the first pass isn't there he's able to move around; he's not a big speed guy, but he's able to avoid sacks. That puts a lot more pressure on us.

A sack and a good rush -- that's the best coverage you can have. When the guys are up there working hard, getting it done, it makes our lives a lot easier on the back.

Maybe people's eyes are different or something like that. So you never know. When a call is so close, I guess it could go either way. Maybe the system could be tweaked a little bit. ... When things are so close and it's a game of this magnitude, there's going to be a lot of things said about it.

It's pretty much a whole different team on defense. It's amazing how everyone jelled so fast, and we were able to play well.

We're not worried about getting the big-time stuff in the papers and magazines. We're just trying to win ballgames.
