It is going to be the Europeans, I hope, who will supplement the Palestinian forces, and provide professionalism, and provide a presence on the ground that will create, I think, better confidence to reopen all the crossings.

On one had, no one wants to see economic chaos [in the P.A.]. On the other hand no one wants to see [the aid] come back in the form of suicide bombers.

Israel supports the position of the quartet, of which Russia is a full and active member.

We are concerned that the only way to bring about the possibility of change in the incoming Palestinian leadership is if the international community speaks with one voice.

The strategy is to present the incoming leadership of the Palestinian Authority a clear choice: either they transform themselves into a legitimate political interlocutor ... or they face international isolation.

We believe only if the regime in Tehran understands that the international community is indeed serious, there is a chance that these sort of cat and mouse games played by the regime will cease.

Israel believes that Iran has for too long been playing games with the international community and we support fully the decision to bring the Iranian nuclear program to the U.N. Security Council.

Israel doesn't make or break Palestinian governments -- that is not our job.
