First doubles played pretty well. Second doubles started off a little slow. The other team was playing well. We were down 6-5 and then ran off the last three games. They really picked it up at the end there. They started playing better tennis.

Matt had class right before the meet. He only had 10 minutes to warm up. With his wrist, I think he was a little tentative, and he needed a little more time to warm up. Unfortunately, he didn't have that. I think that contributed to him getting off to a little slow start, but they picked it up and had a good finish, so I was happy with that.

Again, we kind of struggled in doubles. We had a couple of chances, especially in second doubles. Third doubles was up 3-0, and then the other team went on a little run. Second doubles was up 8-7 and just weren't able to pull it out.

Marquette has had a lot of close matches with teams that we've had close matches with. So we knew it was going to be a close match. In addition, they are very strong at doubles. They've beaten two teams that we've lost to for the doubles point. So going in, we knew they were pretty strong at doubles.

It ended up raining, so we had to go indoors. The courts were very quick. They had a lot of big hitters, mostly big tall kids. I think that was definitely an advantage for them to be able to play on that type of surface. They're definitely an indoor team. Army is a pretty strong team. They've beaten us the last couple of years. It's just going to be another match like we've played in the past. Both teams are pretty strong with both singles and doubles. Hopefully, we will be able to play them outside, which will be a little more of an advantage for us because they are a little more of an indoor team.

We did pretty well. We're definitely a stronger team. Sometimes it's a little tough to kind of come out flat when you know the other team is not as strong, but we still did a pretty good job.

We can use that to our advantage going down to Florida to play. It is a lot hotter there, but we know what it takes to handle that weather. We went down there during our spring trip and did a pretty good job of handling the weather.
