I thought we came out and really executed and had big speed, and it was great. We gave up four goals but we never gave up -- holy mackerel. Like, how does that happen? I don't know. But the guys found a way to keep getting more.

He's good defensively, but (Monday night), he made plays with the puck, which was nice to see.

You've got to give their guys credit. A bunch of young kids, you know they're going to work hard.

For the first time in a while we have what I believe to be the strongest boys dual-meet team in Metro. We'll see how that carries over to this weekend.

Our team has just two year-round swimmers. You can just throw them in the water and they go fast.

A real good decision by them. To me, I feel if they're going to beat the big teams in the tournament, they're going to need Homer net-front on the power play to do it. The other thing about Homer is, he's a phenomenal team guy. He works hard. His passion for playing is something that is contagious. He'll be a big part of their team. He's a huge part of our team.

Right now, ours add up to three, and we take a lot of pride in that.

I always thought the team that had the puck took less penalties, but, not so. We do good job on the penalty kill. Our guys are committed.

I don't know if we have their number. The only time you have someone's number is if you beat them in the playoffs. This is all preparation.

What you see out there is a marquee player who is just going to get better and better. The plays he can make with the puck. How hard he can hit you. He gives you another dimension.

I don't know if it's a big deal at all. We'll see.

He's a pro. He's a face-off guy. He's got 23 or 24 goals. So he adds a lot. He's one of those guys who has been traded a lot in his career. People can look at that in two ways, but to me what it means is at the deadline every year, he's been valuable. So people acquire him because it helps them get to where they want to go. Sounds like it's a real good fit for Nashville.

I think we got a lot of good performances.

Give our guys credit, they come out hard. We played a pretty good game, and now you have to come out and do it again (Thursday).

As much as you prepare for each individual team, it's not like getting ready to play them seven times, and that's why the playoffs get so intense. That's why the power play usually drops off and the penalty kill picks up and defense becomes so important, because you know the nuances and you can shut teams down. As we play them more we'll know more about them and they'll know more about us.
