I only brought two suits, one for the banquet, and one for the first game. I just keep washing my shirt. So, I will be wearing the same suit, but with a clean shirt.

I am so happy for this group of girls because they have taken a beating from me during our losing streak. They have played hard every minute of every game in this tournament.

Some balls bounced our way. Let's face it, Rutgers is a great team. They won 16 league games in a row. If we played them 10 times, they would win nine. I think they overlooked us a little bit thinking about playing Connecticut in the final. But Rutgers won't be in the final. I don't know if this all has hit me yet.

I don't know what to say. We really wanted to pinch off their penetration. We thought our 2-3 zone was really going to make them shoot over the top of us and just pray they miss some of them. We were very aggressive going after the basketball and we got some breaks. And that's what we needed. We needed all the breaks in this game to beat Rutgers and we got 'em.

Let's make no doubt about it. If we played Rutgers 10 times, we probably would lose nine. I'm not going to sit here and say we're a great team. Everything just went our way.

Needless to say, we're very happy. I'm very proud of these young ladies. They took a beating from me over those eight games that we lost. It's great for them to get some success.

We needed all the breaks this game for us to beat Rutgers and we got them. We'll take them every time we can get them. I'm just so proud of the girls. We were coming off a tough season. We lost eight in a row after Meg went down and we really couldn't find our identity. But right now I've never been prouder of a group of girls to really regroup and do the things they've done here in this tournament.

We played them earlier in the year and we were tied at 20 by the half. We played that zone, but we gave up a lot of penetration. We can see that it did bother them, so we just tried to tighten it up and don't go out on their non-shooters. You can't do that unless you rebound. I thought that was the key. We were very aggressive getting some loose balls.

I thought Ann Strother really picked it up and took over the game, which a senior should do. She's been a great player at Connecticut and she did a great job (Tuesday).

That's a concern. But as long as we can keep eking out those wins, we'll take it.

We just didn't do a good job of executing down the stretch, but it wasn't from lack of effort. It wasn't from we didn't try. It was just inexperience.

I felt at times we were too impatient at times offensively. We refused to reverse the ball and work for easy shots. They packed it in. They made us shoot from the perimeter and we just didn't hit them.

We tried to get a quick score. Ashley Powell thought she could take it all the way and she got a charge. Then we put the other freshman guard in (to replace Owens) and she threw the ball away. It was not from lack of effort, it was just lack of experience.

I think Ann Strother took over the game, which a senior should.

We wanted to hold them under 50 and that is what we did. We rebounded with them, which I thought we had to do. We just did not make our shots.
