The baseball community is aware of the issue and one problem is that baseball, more than football or basketball, sends players off to the pro leagues before their senior years.

The squad-size adjustment has to really be taken into account. It's a margin of error. ... I think those schools that have sort of fell in the safe area because of squad-size adjustment are at risk in the next year or two.

Nine-hundred twenty-five equates with approximately a 60 percent graduation rate, and it's a substantial benchmark. It's not trivial.

I think the Duke basketball team is a terrific team. I don't think that's in the least bit overshadowed or taken anything away from the women. In fact, I think by pushing the women to answer something that they have no role to play, that strikes me as misleading to readers. I know some journalists have done that.

I'm pleased to see they're taking strong steps until they get to the bottom of it.

There was some discussion of it in the last couple of years, and there hasn't been much enthusiasm for it at this point. I think that discussion needs to continue, but I don't see any movement in that direction.

Whether or not we want to take something not broke and want to fix it, I think we should continue discussion. It's not imminent.
