He didn't want to be here. Do you always accommodate those guys? Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. And in this situation I think we had to.

Since day one when I got here and talked to Ruben, his whole concern was the direction of the club. He didn't want to be a part of this. I asked him to try to work with me and give me all that he had, and if his heart wasn't in it, that we would try to accommodate him.

They started to hit us with the pick-and-roll and the trap, and then they spread us out with their shooters. I thought we could win this game, but it's not a 36-minute game -- it's a 48-minute game.

I guess if you get right to it, we're not playing with a sense of urgency. We've got to start to get it together and start working harder. As a pro, if you shoot poorly at the free throw line, you stay after practice and work on your shot. We don't have that commitment right now. We've got to get it together and start working harder.

We'll throw him out there, because we need a big. Miles and those guys are getting pounded down in the paint. So we'll look at getting him out there, getting him some minutes.

I don't want to make much of this game. We cannot come in here and have a few guys play hard and other guys not giving the effort.

Try and strap this on. Because we're going to go on a ride I'm sure none of us may have experienced or expected.

I think some guys are coming out there and busting their behind to play hard and do the things that we ask. But we can't have two or three guys playing that way and other guys not.

You can't just sit down that type of talent and that type of commitment. Do you bury yourself? Or do you put them out there and make them get it?

As a unit, we're not playing well enough, hard enough, long enough to give ourselves a chance to win. We almost have to play a perfect game with a lot of energy and effort to win ball games right now.

This is what we've been talking about for a while. The effort, scrappy play. We played smart for the majority of the game.

It feels good. We got the breaks tonight, we made some breaks and we made some shots. And that's what we need to do.

It want to split he and Zach (Randolph) up mainly because we want to get more ball movement. It's to try and find something that will give us that scrappy, that balance that we need.
