Colorado had a week there before everybody else got in to negotiate, ... I knew there was going to be an offer. They showed the offer in the Denver papers.

I'm not going to go into exactly how I felt, ... Sometimes it doesn't work out. . . . But that's in the past. It's kind of a new chapter, but I'm really excited. I played in Colorado for a long time, 10 years. But the pages are turning and I'm really excited to be here.

I was awful. The first two periods, it was an uphill battle. I was just trying to play smart, not to do too many stupid things and just play defense. I was bad.

Last year was kind of a new year for me. Everything went well, and I was having fun on the ice again, so it was great. We played pretty well in the last part of the year, too. Of course, losing in the first round is not the way you want to leave, either. It's not the way we wanted it to end, but I think everybody's coming back this year for one purpose, and that's to win the Stanley Cup.

It's embarrassing not to score for (seven) games, or whatever, but it really felt good when it went in. I'm happy we tied it up and won the game. It was big for us. It got kind of annoying to not score for a long time.

I thought it was in when I shot it, but it went over the net. But there's nothing you can do but keep working and not get down.

I think you should win if you have a two-goal lead. When you stop playing and stop working hard, that's when the other team is going to be all over you the whole time.

I see scoring up this year but I don't see the numbers lasting. Personally, I think the high numbers are great. I wouldn't mind if Simon scores a hundred. It would be pretty good.

The change has been pretty easy actually. We have a good group of guys and an organization that's similar to Colorado. It wants to win and it does everything to show the players and the fans that it can do that.

I don't know if I feel the pressure that I'm the missing link, but definitely I feel that we are expected to go far in the playoffs. To win the Cup it takes some luck, but that's definitely our goal. We have a good team and have a shot at it.

They came at us hard, and we turned the puck over way too many times, ... They were all over us. They worked hard and they wanted to win. You could see they were a desperate team and we weren't.

I don't think we played real well. The last couple games we were sliding a bit and not playing smart hockey. We have been giving up the puck.
