When moose attack, they knock a person over and begin stomping on them.

Grand Lake is a mountain town, so walking down the street is like being at the edge of a forest.

The bottom line is, keep human food sources unavailable. It's simple --take care of your trash, put it in a bear-proof container, don't leave trash out at night, and if you have to leave it out, do it as close to pick-up time as possible.

If someone sees a sheep in the Flat Tops, if they can help our Glenwood office know about that, that helps science, too.

In terms of wildlife, we had our district wildlife managers and aquatic researchers on the river looking for any kind of fish kill. About 5 p.m., or during first 12 hours, we have found no dead fish. That doesn't mean we won't.

Now, thanks to Utah, we have 22 moose. With this project we have the potential of doubling that number.

Certainly it could disturb the animals, but there's nothing illegal occurring.

I think you'll continue to see them, absolutely.

They are incredibly popular. The comments we hear from people who get the opportunity to see them have been very positive.

It's far, far too early to jump out there and say there are no impacts. The intense oil and gas development just began in the last one to two years. It's impossible to sit back and say anything with certainty.
