Quarterbacks make a big difference in the playoffs. With Rex Grossman, the Bears are a team that can conceivably beat you on offense as well as defense, whereas I don't know that you could have said that about Jim Miller.

More than anything, it gets down to how Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb hold this whole thing together,

People may want to call it the Moss factor or whatever they want, but there is no doubt in my film study, the vertical stretch that Randy brought that offense is sorely missed right now. When I look at the tape from last year with Moss in that lineup, you've got safeties sitting back there 18, 19, 20 yards, sometimes not even on the screen (of the coaching tape).

Now I'm seeing those safeties sitting in the 14, 15 area — a good 5-yard difference. They (the safeties) don't have respect for the deep game. Consequently the windows to throw into become smaller.
