It's like losing a prizefight. Sometimes it can be the best thing that happens to you.

A bye week would be nice right now. If the game was today, I couldn't go. It's going to have to change a lot before game time.

Everybody is sitting there telling us how we're the best 3-4 team in the league. That ain't going to get us in the playoffs. That's going to keep me home in January. We have to win.

I think it's going to be a challenge for us. But we got a chip on our shoulder. The offensive line wants to be known as one of the best lines and for having one of the best running games in the league.

We didn't play well enough down the stretch to win. We're hungry to get the rushing game going.

It's pretty loud and wild. And they use it to their advantage.

Last year up there L.T. was one or two arm tackles away from some big runs. If we can get him to that second level (of defenders) there is no better back in the league.

The Dolphins had talked about taking me in the third round. But they called me about five picks before their pick and told me their doctor thought I would need surgery. When the fourth round came and went and I wasn't taken, I didn't watch the draft anymore.

At first it didn't look like I was going into an optimal situation. I'm from Long Island, and I was going 3,000 miles to a place where I had no family or friends. I was joining a franchise that was 4-12 the year before and expectations were low. But things happen for a reason, and I was fortunate. I've always been on winning teams and been around a great group of guys, and that certainly has been the case here.

That's sort of how our season was – it's been up and down. We've proven on any day we could play with anybody and beat anybody, and then other times we look like we don't even belong on the field.

I know they can play with anybody. They've proven that in the past. And good luck to them.

I think I'll be better this year in every aspect. This year there was more of a mental approach to camp and the playbook. Last year I was learning on the run, but this year if I make a mistake I know exactly what it is. I'm playing with more mental confidence.
