Normally, European ice is straight, and Canadian ice gets a real big curl. A 4- or 5-foot curl is normal up there. When the ice is straighter, there's less room for error. If we had to pick between the two, we'd take Canadian ice, but were reasonably comfortable with the ice here.

We feel good about the whole thing. Other than a bad last shot (in Monday night's 4-3 loss to Finland), we're 3-0 rather than 2-1.

I still say we're playing pretty well. Unfortunately, yesterday we missed the last shot of the day.

We're on a good roll right now. We want to win three more, ride off and call it a good week.

We had tried the same thing the previous throw and just missed it. John came down and gave me a little fire-upper.

We probably played the worst game of the week tonight. It's definitely a big disappointment. I put a lot of blame on myself. I came out flat. I didn't play as well as I wanted.

We had to kind of gamble a little, to try to steal a point or points from them. We kind of put the game on the line going into that end. We were either going to steal a point and be tied coming home, or give them the game there in the ninth.

Everybody was not expecting us to do well here. But we were pretty confident coming in that we could be contenders. We were definitely OK with coming in here and not being the No. 1 favorites.

I knew it was going to be an extremely difficult day for me today. This team is extremely satisfied with the way they played today — and for myself, it's that much of a better moment, for sure.

I instantly recognized the date of the medals game. It was incentive to me. It was a dream of hers to get to the Olympics as much as it was a dream of mine.

It's a tough, tough time. It was my goal, and her dream, so I wanted to come out and do it.

I've gone through such a range of emotions in the last 45 minutes, it's definitely hard to even explain what I've gone through. Saturday will be the big day when it really hits for me, when I'm up on the podium getting the medals. It's any athlete's dream to make the Olympic team. It's only that much better to say that you came out with a medal.

Everybody was not expecting us to do well here.

We're getting a fabulous response on our Web site. We're getting e-mails from across the United States. We're getting them from people who don't live near a curling club. There are piles of them from people who are looking for a curling club.
