For me to say I could have helped, it's pretty hard to say that. I respect all the players that were there. They did their best to bring back gold. It's unfortunate that it came up short, but it's going to make everyone more hungry for 2010.

Once I started watching the first game I became a fan. I totally forgot about the opportunity I had to maybe be there. I think it's always easy to say 'what if' and criticize, but the fact is it comes down to a one-game playoff. We believe in a lot of the same things. I'm interested to learn about anything, any way I can improve myself. And I think it's a two-way thing where he's trying to find things that interest the players and make it fun for them to improve.

When I watched the first game, it was tough because I think that was the time I realized it's probably going to be another four years before I had the opportunity. After that, I just became a fan. I was pulling for them and I wanted them to do well. It's unfortunate it didn't, but I said before Canada had a lot of expectations and they're not going to win gold every time.

When we finally got going, we had them back on their heels.

You don't want to get in the habit of seeing those. But I guess we're a little more prepared for stuff like that now.

It's different, but that's why you don't go into the season with any expectations. You just let things happen and try to prepare yourself for what does happen. It has been a year full of a lot of different things.

Everything clicked. Everything was working together, and we did all the little things. We played with a lot of confidence.

We had a lot of new faces, but guys had the right attitude.

We played well. If we are all skating and working hard we will get opportunities. There were a lot of new faces and new combinations but the guys had a good attitude about it.

Everything seemed to come together.

It makes it a little easier, and we play with a lot more confidence, when we get a lead.

We're all playing within our role and not worrying about results. When we do that everything seems to click, and that's been a big factor in us winning games.

You never expect a situation like that so when it comes, you just have to have confidence in each other, and I think that's what was going through our minds. I think we were confident, and we knew we did a good job the last couple games. It was just a matter of doing it for a little bit longer.
