It seems like yesterday I was up there watching my first NHL game, and I was skating on the ice this time. It brings back memories, but at the same time it's something I'll remember forever.

It's tough losing the one and two-goal games and not having that extra bit we need to put us over the top and get the win. Individually, it's going to help me to push myself more to play with guys like that, ... Playing games with guys like that is great but practising is where you're really going to benefit. Seeing their habits is definitely going to help me.

I'm very excited, ... It's been a long month and a lot of anticipation, and I'm definitely looking forward to getting on the ice every day.

It was fun, ... I just got back from junior camp, so to go from there to skating today was a big jump. But I found myself getting better after just an hour and a half.
