If you have the right guy, it can happen quickly. If you have the wrong guy, it can take time or never happen at all.

Generally, if you have the right guy and he knows what he's doing, you don't have to lose for very long at all. There's no reason a program like Washington should have two losing seasons with the right guy, I don't care what's happened to them.

If Steve struggles, I don't think there are going to be any tears shed in the coaching community. That's because he made us all cry when we had to play against him.

On a bad day, he would just beat you bad. On a good day, he would humiliate you.

We've had a lull for the last couple of years. I think (Florida, Florida State and Miami) will have very strong teams, but I don't have any of them playing for a national championship. To most people, it's a year away.

He handled my old Auburn team pretty good. I don't think there is any advice I could give him, just to recognize what a great job he had done. We in our business know who the good guys are and the bad guys are, and he is one of the good guys.

I know my dad is sticking around for one reason, to play for another national championship. The number of wins doesn't make a difference. But now that it's obviously down to him and Joe, it's in his face every day.

That's where the great players want to go. Just like Florida State, the thing that scares you with my dad the last two years is top players are gonna stop going there if they don't think they can play for national championships.

Now you find it's hard to change when you're so successful for so many years. And he's had so many people work with him that are part of that style.

He is gonna make tough decisions to either change the style to get better or just weather the storm.

He's not the first coach there to have to deal with this standard. You really have to overcome the party-school atmosphere that Colorado has ... it's something that was there before him.

I still think people think of Utah at that mid-major level, ... It's so hard to make people believe that's going to keep going. People are always going to assume, 'Hey, it's Utah.'
