In my nine years, this is one of the more disappointing evenings I had in this job because it's going to be sad to see some seniors go who've done a lot for us, won a lot of games.

I told them their most important job now is the locker room, the dorm room, the hotel room. What they spread, what kind of message they spread, might be as critical as anything.

We just did not check defensively. They really just went at us inside and it was almost a joke. We've never been handled like that inside.

If anybody that ever played here hears that statistic, they're going to have trouble coming back and seeing us.

It's going to be sad to see some seniors go that have done a lot of things for us, won a lot of games.

I think it proves my theory that you just have to be physically and mentally tough as nails. That's been a problem for us. We've tried to address it, and we're going to address it from here on out.

I feel all of the responsibility for that. I did not get as much out of these guys as they had to give.

Those two statistics are ridiculous. But as down as I am and as our fans are, this season wasn't a total disaster. We won 22 games and had some good wins playing maybe the toughest schedule in the country.

The really sad part is, I thought this team had enough talent to go a long way. We had three really good players, but we just didn't have enough depth and we were never as consistent or tough as we needed to be.

We're going to get back in the weight room to work on toughness and character. I promise we'll be tougher and I promise we'll get this program back to where we all want it.

I think it was the biggest disappointment of all the NCAA games we played in. We didn't have the season we wanted to have. We didn't perform to what I think our capabilities were. I think this is one of the few times in my career here as a head coach that we didn't get done what I think we were capable of getting done, culminating with the lack of a very good performance on that last night.

A good job is not good enough here. A good job is 18, 19 wins. Twenty-two wins is a very good job. But we're looking for championships and Final Fours and that didn't change, and that's not going to change until the day I get thrown out of here. Good is not good enough.

I'm not satisfied with where we ended up this year. I'm going to publicly say I'm going to do something about it, I'm going to privately say I'm going to do something about it, and I'm going to do something about it.

He might be only the second kid (after Jason Richardson) I would advise to do that, just because, that way, there'd be no questions unanswered.

I was thinking about that as every game went by. I feel better in one way, but I feel worse that it kind of makes you madder (because of) where you could have gone. Maybe we're not quite the dogs we think we are up here.
