The big thing for us is that we've all made it through this experience relatively healthy, just tired, fatigued more than anything else.

He nailed the big one. The question was, can he rise to the big game? And he did.

My guess is we'll certainly be emotionally attached to the game like we should. Whether or not we execute in a way we want remains to be seen.

You can pick all sorts of reasons out why we're doing all right this year and I can tell you Kevin Weekes has really contributed to that whole thing by the nature of how he's chosen to deal with the situation.

It's beyond belief. You sort of equate that with the drought with the Stanley Cup and I guess it adds up but it's almost unbelievable.

I thought Kevin played very well and deserved the opportunity to come back and get another start. I thought we developed sort of a flow and pace to our game that showed we were in sync, and I didn't want to mess with that.

Some teams aren't sure they can win. Some teams hope they can win, and some teams know, not just that they can win, but that they're going to win. I'm not sure we're there yet, but we really believe that every night we do give ourselves a real good shot at winning the game. That's part of the evolution. I'd like to get to the point where we know we can win.

He started to push himself as he got more comfortable with the brace.

I wasn't as familiar with him as a player as I was with the other Czech guys. His contribution to our offensive game has been real good. I do like the fact that he understands what our job is off the puck defensively.

It is important to experience everything that you might see in the playoffs. But having said that, we have to make sure that we don't assume anything...And if we play the way we did tonight, it's going to be a tougher road ahead of us than we think.

They all felt that they've been well prepared, well organized and that the game plan was appropriate and that they needed to check in mentally and emotionally to go and execute. You're still sort of picking straws.

That was the one thing that really hurt us. It's about quick puck movement, support and speed.

What I'm surprised at is that we choose to let ourselves get down a goal or two before we ignite ourselves in the way we need to play. And that's a heavy consequence when you're playing teams that really know how to play within their structure. I'll be surprised if it continues.

I think that what's happening now is that this side of the pond is starting to realize exactly how good this young fellow is. Certainly in Europe and those of us who have had experience over there sort of saw this coming ? not to this degree, I'm not going to take credit for that. But certainly people are starting to realize this guy's for real.

It's interesting; at what point in time do we stand up and say, we need this, we've got to fix this, change this? We know what we want, we know what we need. We also know we're not going to give up young people to do anything at all. We also know some of those solutions we don't have here this year are coming.
