I don't think so. I've asked myself the same question. We've really been careful in how we schedule our days off. Many of those are kind of spontaneous decisions to cut out a practice here or a morning skate. I think we've done the right things. I think one of the reasons we've been relatively injury-free is because of our general team fitness.

We did not attack the way we needed to. It started to get away from us when we fell behind. We didn't put enough rubber at the net.

I like to not have to put that much on one player. Henrik has been our outstanding goalie this year. Kevin (Weekes) has been terrific, but Henrik seems to bring out the best in our hockey club.

Some people find themselves in harm's way, other people put themselves in harm's way. Usually the winner puts themselves in harm's way; Kaspar helps us identify with that. We need a physical presence. We need more guys playing like that anyway.

I guess [the Senators] made it very clear that we're a team that needs to work on being playoff-ready. And if we can do that through practices, quite frankly, that's all we have left.

Somebody's looking after us. It's time we looked after ourselves. We can do it here. That should be the ultimate objective. It's all about (tonight) — there's no other focus, no distractions.

The Devils have been playing playoff hockey for a while. It's a real good opportunity for us to pay attention to how you can turn a season around, and you can do that in one game. And with that in mind, game on.
