I thought the guys wrestled real well. Everybody placed that we had out there. You really can't complain about a performance like that. The other teams just had a few more bodies.

He really does a great job for us. He wrestles smart and that was just a thing that happened. He felt bad about, but I told him he did a great job. It was a learning experience for him and it's something he'll never forget now - how that rule reads.

It is an unfortunate ending because that was one of our goals - to try and get back to Cedar Rapids - but I don't think it's something the officials could overlook. It was a good call, but unfortunate for us.

I thought going into the meet that Sibley would be favored at seven weights and I thought we could win seven matches. We did end up doing that. The key difference between the two teams' performance was they had three pins and a forfeit. You have to give credit to the Sibley kids there because they were wrestling hard all the time. I thought our guys worked hard for the pin too, but we just weren't able to get it as much as we needed.

Everybody worked hard for it and we just came up a little short. The bottom line is our guys wrestled hard and did a good job, but Sibley wrestled hard also and came out on top.

One thing about wrestling this time of year is you don't have a lot of time to reflect on things that happened in the past. I think they're focused now on what they need to do.

This year they've added quite a few teams. I think there will be 24. (Class 2A No. 4) Spirit Lake Park is going to be there and that will be a tough addition. It will be very competitive - it always is.

I couldn't really see what was going out there (in Collins' match) and that was unfortunate for us, too. Dustin was working hard for the pin and I believe he was called for an illegal headlock. If Dustin gets the pin we would have each had three. I don't know what the rest of the criteria are - there's a list of about 12 things you go down - but it's one of those things we'll never know now.
