I'm very proud of this team, coming back after Monday night and playing like that, a complete game. We had that focus, we wanted to get in the playoffs.

I think we were able to focus and be businesslike. We came out with a sense of purpose today.

Those guys want to play, and they want to play all the time. We don't let them vote, but we will take into consideration how they feel.

There's not that many guys who have been in this situation. The one guy I know is Mike Shanahan, and I don't think he'll tell me at this point. I think you have to analyze the situation and do what's best for your team.

We are very excited about [reaching the playoffs], accomplishing our first goal.

Going 16-0 would be great, but it's not the most important thing. I like history. I appreciate it. But I just think it's best to not look too far ahead.

We definitely want to win. We're going to play to win and go from there. We're going to keep our mantra: one game at a time. We're going to do everything we can to beat San Diego and we're not going to look ahead.

We knew they wanted to run the ball and use the clock. Once we got ahead, we were able to not let that happen.

Tom feels like a lot of our coaches, that their job is to do the best job they can right here. Hopefully they'll get a (head coaching) opportunity and Tom is one of them, but I don't think our guys sit here and really worry about it, campaign or (hope to) get one.

I am loving this. I promise you, I am loving it. We've had it the other way, where we've been 3-4 in Tampa and had to win every game coming down the stretch. This is a lot easier.

[Edwards] said we can't talk because their karma is so bad I might catch it over the telephone. I've gotten a little advice from him, but he tells his wife, who tells my wife, who tells me.

We've really not talked about it. I think that's one of the reasons we've been able to stay loose. We've really not sat here saying for the last eight weeks, 'Wouldn't it be great.' I'm sure if we win this one and get 14, I'm sure it will be talked about a little more.

Finishing 16-0 would be a nice footnote and we're going to try to do it. But it's not the ultimate goal. We didn't go into training camp thinking of an unbeaten season.

We want to win, but we want to get everybody in.

It's tough to go 16-0. You have to play well every week. That wasn't the main goal in our mind. Losing wasn't what we wanted to do, but if it brings us back with a little more resolve, then maybe something will come of it.
