Our goaltending has been average and that's maybe been generous. With Adam, even in the minors last year he played very well -- he put us in the playoffs -- but there was no in-between. He was either outstanding or awful. There was no middle ground.

He had bad positioning with his stick, but up until then he'd played well.

They should have been ready. I could say that how many times this year? The timeout was just to regroup.

He's like a riverboat gambler. He likes to take chances. We'll have to curb that a little bit. He doesn't have to lead the rush down the ice, just support the first wave.

This might have been the best display of goaltending on both sides that I've seen this season. It was a little like a playoff game with the saves they were making.

The Olympics now are no longer the Olympics. It's a continuation of the NHL. They call it the Olympic Games, but is it really the Olympic Games when professional players are playing?

With the playoffs not feasible for us, this is an opportunity to enjoy the spoiler role.

I'm proud of the effort he's put in to get his weight down and improve his conditioning. It's important to reward guys. In his case, he's the future, and he's got to see the pace he's got to play at [in the NHL].
