I'm approaching like all the other guys - I want to make the team. There's obviously extra incentive there that wasn't there last year. But we're all here for a reason and that's to make the team.

I think everyone's out here trying to prove something. I'm not necessarily saying 'I belong here,' but I just want to put my best foot forward and play to my strengths and do what I do well out there and see how things unfold.

Robbie was great and put me in a lot of situations, a lot of power play and a lot of penalty kill. Any time you can get a year of pro experience under your belt is great. Coming right of college I needed to adjust to the pro game from college and that season was great for me.

I think it's exciting for all the young guys to be able to skate with them to have the opportunity to make the big club. I think last year we had a different kind of training camp and we're real eager to be out there with these guys.

I still get nervous, I still get nervous playing. But it's good to be a little excited, a little anxious for everything. We're going to be switching groups up a little bit so we get to get on the ice with a lot of those NHL guys.

I knew the team was counting on me to take it to the next step. I had to elevate my game. And I know I did that.

We can't seem to buy one right now.

You've got to win. Especially a game against Philadelphia. You're looking at the standings and you want to climb. That's our main concern right now is winning our own games.

I loved Robbie down there. He was good for me. He was a good skill coach.

The way we've been playing, we've been playing well against quality teams. From here on out, we've got to do that every night.

It's fun. I'm enjoying every minute of playing with them. I know I have to be at the top of my game every night - I don't want to be the weak link.

That just shows how far along we've come and our ability, the way that we can play. We're a completely different team than from the beginning of the year.

It's so much fun in the locker room. Guys enjoy coming to the rink and we're showing it on the ice. Everything is coming together for us.

We said [after the second period] that Canada hasn't seen our best yet. We were disappointed with our first two periods and they hadn't seen our best hockey. I'm happy with the way I'm playing, ... I'm out there with some very talented players and I'm trying my best to fit in.
