Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives? / And one of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was son in law to Sanballat the Horonite: therefore I chased him from me.

Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever.

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: / I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? / But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
