en He's been our most consistent ball-striker so far this spring. His (final) round was critical (to us winning).

en He's still the No. 1 ball striker in the world. He's one of those guys who can win any tournament he enters. He's amazingly consistent.

en I think the whole key to Craig is similar to Curtis. He grew up with a golf club in his hand and learned at an early age how to play the game. He's been a consistent ball striker for us for four years. His senior year he finally grew into his body. He's one of those young pups that just pounds the ball which is why I didn't bet him on the side.

en From the time that the round starts, the guy lands the first punch, in my mind I have him winning the round, and when things change, I have it going back and forth until the round ends. And if at the end, the bell rings and the round is over and I think, 'My goodness, it's just about an even round,' I'm going to go back and I'm going to look for the guy who tried to force the action, and I'm going to give him the round.

en We have to see improvement in the kicking game. We have some veteran players kicking and punting the football for us, and they need to be more consistent. Right now, we're not very consistent on field goals or punting, and that's going to be critical for this football team. Even with the snaps this spring, our consistency was not as good as it was in the fall. We have a lot of work to do.

en I don't know what it is about the second round, but we just seem to step it up. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. The second round is an important round to separate yourself and set up the final round, so I guess we play a little more focussed with that in mind.

en I did not start off hitting the ball well, but got it around from there with a lot of good shots. I felt like I really controlled my golf ball out there and at least I put myself into position going into (the final round).

en We found a little bit of a groove on offense, but we didn't hang onto the ball. We moved the ball pretty well, but we weren't consistent enough to win. Penalties and turnovers kept us from winning the game.

en He's hitting the ball the other way, staying on the ball, and we saw that all spring. It's a much more consistent approach and for a guy who's not going to play as much as he did last year, you have to have that approach. You can't get too pull-happy.

en All our calculations were based on the theory that, if Madrid made it through to the final round, then we might have a tough time winning but that, if it was Paris v London, then we had a really excellent chance.

en Early in the semifinal round, we lost a little bit of wind. When (eventual runner-up Shawn Beard of West pinned eventual third-place finisher) Kenny Palmer in a semifinal, that took a little wind out of our sails, but we still came back to put 13 guys in the final round. I told the guys they had to be aggressive (going into the final round), and I think we might have been a little too aggressive a couple times.

en The first three were Stuart. We'll see when I have three dozen in front of me. They say the hardest thing to do is hit a round ball with a round bat. I think it might be harder to use a round ballpoint pen on a round baseball.

en At Reading, we just slightly missed the combination and I think a big part of that is that we haven't been in the late rounds recently. A track's going to change over the course of an afternoon. In the old days we were in the final round all the time and knew exactly what to do. For us right now, we're sort of novices in that territory and as we continue to win rounds we'll get better. We're quick learners and the final round is a nice place to learn.

en It was a really fun day. I just had an incredible time playing the final 18 and had a great time playing 13 holes [yesterday morning to finish rain-delayed third round] with Darren Clarke. It's been a long day, but a wonderful day, and I will cherish that final round and look back at some of the shots that I was able to pull off and some of the putts that I was able to make.

en I was real proud of the way our team came back and played in the final round. We were 17 shots behind after Monday and it would have been easy for the guys to mail it in. But instead, they came back and played with a lot of focus and a lot of pride. I think our final round is a real positive as we head into a pretty important stretch of our season.
