en Brookhaven always has good teams and good coaching. You can never count them out. They're fundamentally sound. But as I've always said, if my girls play hard, they are tough to beat.

en It's obvious how well-coached they are. They're very sound. You play his teams, and you know you're going to have to be sound because everything they do is sound. Defensively they just don't make mistakes. If you beat them, you beat them because of talent, not because of coaching.

en Colorado State and New Mexico are two good teams. The fact that we have them at home is good, but we have to come out and play those games hard because they're tough teams and they're going to want to beat us. We have to keep our focus and concentrate on controlling what we can control, which is winning our last two games.

en To have four coaches in four years is tough. Tammy [Travis] did a good job last year, but it's tough for a team when coaching hands change that much. It's been hard for them to get to know me. en We are really close to being an excellent basketball team. I think if you're both teams you want to play your best before the postseason. And Mattoon has typically had hard-nosed, fundamentally sound basketball teams.

en Honestly, we're supposed to beat the New Orleans. So it feels good. But if we lost this game ... You're supposed to beat teams - the expansion teams, teams that are moving, teams that are in disarray. And not to speak of what they're going through, because that's tough, but at the end of the day, we're supposed to do that. We just executed and did a good job and we did what we were supposed to do. You can't get excited about this. This is not beating Indiana at Indiana. But it feels good.

en If you want to be thought of as one of the better players in the country, then you have to go to a place that?s really, really difficult, tough to play and play really well. Most good teams play good at home, but the really good teams, the way they separate themselves is they play well on the road.

en There's a couple teams out there with tough girls that are tough to beat. The rest of us our pretty evenly matched. Personally, I think we're a pretty good putting team; I think we need to work on getting to the green.

en Hats off to U High. They're solid across the whole board. They work hard at it, and that's why they're good. They're one of the top teams in the state, and it's good for our girls to get to play with them on a regular basis.

en They have two of the best big girls I've seen in the last couple of years and a guard who can shoot the 3. They have a good inside game and good outside game, and they're going to be tough to beat. They're real solid, the good thing is we only have to beat them once.

en They're very sound fundamentally. They'll be a very, very good club. If we think because we beat Alabama and Alabama beat them that we're going to win that series then we're going to be in for a long weekend.

en I'm very proud of these girls, because they work hard, play smart and want to win. Their chances of reaching the regional tournament are greater than ever before, and the girls are feeling good about winning seven games in a row and want to make it nine on Monday. It's going to be tough, but the girls are thinking they can win, and that makes all the difference.

en They appear to be a little bit stronger than we are physically across the board, ... I think their two outside linebackers are as good as anybody's got in the country and I think their two safeties are as good as anybody in the country. In that sense, we're probably comparable. They scheme a little differently; they're a much more blitz team they are. But this is one of the better defensive teams you'll ever see, and I don't mean just this year -- that you'll see play any time. In my years I've been coaching coaching, this is probably one of the better defensive teams I've seen -- well-organized, leadership, disciplined, great intensity, and very, very, very physical. If we're comparable to those, I'd feel very good.

en I think we match up fairly well against them. They play a style that like we play. They don't race up and down the floor and run-and-gun. They work the possession and take good shots. They have an excellent coach who is Hall of Fame material. They're fundamentally sound and don't turn the ball over. They turned it over only eight times against Grantsburg. We have to play every bit as good as we played Saturday, and we may have to pick that up a notch.
