en They told me that tomorrow they'll make big deal out of it, but try to forget what happened yesterday, and stay focused on your doubles, and they stayed focused on your match, the singles. It's nice to see people so much interested in you, you still have to focus on what you have to do.

en I thought our performance was awesome. The scores were not what we expected, but the kids stayed really focused. This is the first meet we haven't counted a fall.

en I thought we were a little impatient and we didn't shoot in a good rhythm, not only the outside girls, but the inside girls. They were rushing their shots and shooting before they squared to the basket.

en Most of the runs we actually played pretty well. I thought we guarded them well. We made them shoot shots we wanted them to shoot.

en We really wanted to focus on defense right out of the locker room and the girls stepped it up in the third. We stayed on pace and the free throws were big for us, too.

en The thing I've seen from the girls in all the matches is the fact that they could get complacent with the scores they've had recently. However, each match they've gone out there, they're focused and expecting to win. At the same time, there's a bigger picture and bigger goal down the road.

en The conditions were perfect for scoring. It was there to be had if you hit the shots. I got off to a ho-hum start and then I got it going (with a birdie at the par-5 fourth). I thought someone could shoot 59 at the start of the day.

en Our effort was good tonight. We stayed focused, especially at the start of the two halves. You have to make perimeter shots against this team. Their size caused a lot of problems.

We accomplished that goal, but we just couldn't make a free throw tonight. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. We just didn't shoot the ball well.

en The girls played pretty solid. If they get focused and just play, they are capable of playing pretty well. I hope they just keep their focus and work to get better and that's our main objective because we try to get better every day. Hopefully we do well again tomorrow.

en I think that plays a big role. Dionne hit two big shots that he doesn't shoot usually ... I mean, he scores a little bit. For him to take shots, takes a lot of guts, a lot of courage and a lot of character.

en I've always thought that if I stayed healthy, I'd throw myself into the mix at some point. But there is so much time left, anything can happen. I think I was leading the league in hits early last August, and Ichiro [Suzuki] ended up with 50 more than me. I don't want to start thinking about it or following box scores just yet.
