en We went out there and played our hardest and put ourselves in good position to win the game. Then once again we got bit by that bug of somebody going down in the game. Our leader left us, we tried to maintain it and it just slipped away.

en Coming into the game, we knew they would put up numbers . Looking back on it, they were better than anybody else we played. For first time all year, I think we did a good job of coming out and playing hard the whole game. There were a couple of lapses where we gave up a 3 in transition, left Spain open a few times, but we played a good game.

en Yesterday was a tough loss. What can you do? We played a good game. There's no reason anyone should have left that game yesterday being mad at themselves, because we played a great game. But it is nice to come back today and put runs on the board to beat a team.

en After the way we played in Madison on Tuesday, this game scared me. But the girls really played well. We executed everything we wanted to. They just finished with 2 more points that we did. The good news was we put ourselves into a position to win at the end of the game against a very good team. This was a step in the right direction.

en When you lose this game, there's nothing worse. There's nothing worse because this is the game that gets you to the place where all good things can happen. This is the hardest hurdle to get over, because you need 12 more months then to get back here and you didn't put yourself in a position to win the national championship.

en It was a game that slipped away. Give credit to them, they deserved to win it. Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness. It was just too bad, because I think we played well enough in a lot of ways to win the game.

en It was all about doing things right. If you played the game the right way, played the game for the team, good things would happen. That's what I loved most about the game, how a ground out to second with a man on second and nobody out was a great thing. In my day, if a guy came to spring training 20 pounds heavier than what he left, he was considered out of shape and was probably in trouble. He'd be under a microscope and the first time he couldn't beat out a base hit or missed a fly ball, he was probably shipped out. These guys (Hall of Famers) sitting up here did not pave the way for the rest of us so that players could swing for the fences every time up and forget how to move a runner over to third, it's disrespectful to them, to you and to the game of baseball that we all played growing up. Respect.

en This is a very disappointing loss for us. We have to win these games and we know that. We slipped up tonight and they played hard. This is a game where we feel we beat ourselves. We've done a good job of not doing that very often this year and when we have done that, we have picked up right away.

en I thought it was a really tough game, Alexander is really tough up here. Any win on this field is a good win. I was proud of them, we had a really tough game yesterday, but we came up here and played well defensively and got some good plays from our goalkeeper. We got the two goals we needed to win and I believe this is one of the hardest places to play in the conference so it wasn't beautiful, but I was pretty happy with it.

en T.J. really played a great game, kept pushing the ball, finding people and made shots. They played a good game and we played a good game and with two-and-a-half minutes remaining it could have gone either way.

en Throwing the stone is the hardest part of the game. Even for those that have played the game for years.

en I think it's always tough to win the first game because the first game's really the hardest one. Our offense played well, and we really hung in there.

en It was a well-played game between two very good teams. Both pitchers dominated, which is to be expected. They managed to get a walk and a runner in scoring position, then a passed ball to win the game.

en I expect a challenging game from Marist. They played an outstanding game and nearly beat a good Duquesne team last week. They were ahead most of the time and played a very physical game. However, I see the desire in our team that we need to win. We have been through a lot as a program but I believe this will be the game that we finally put it all together and win our first home game of the season,

en It was a good game. They played hard on both ends. The first game we played against them, we pretty much had our way. If it wasn't for defense, we really would have lost the game. That's the lowest-scoring game we've had all season.
