en These characters are dissatisfied, ... They are dealing with midlife crisis, a change in their sex lives. I'd like people to laugh but still seriously think about what the characters are going through and how that may relate to their own lives. en  'Annie' was a comic strip with an awful lot of information in it. It had more information in the balloons above the characters than practically any other comic strip that was around. The strip told tales instead of jokes.
