These guys are all well-rounded riders - they're not just strong in one event.

For the initial Memory Ride, we had six riders, consisting of mostly family and friends. And last year, 150 riders from all over the country participated in what truly turned out to be a terrific event. This year marks our 10th Anniversary and we are still striving to promote awareness of Alzheimer's as well as help fund research.

All of these other countries have schools. You look at the riders from Panama , and Peru , and Ireland , and these guys are starting at an advantage. We're the country with the best racing, but we don't have a school for jockeys. Riders here have to learn from their competition. His genuine curiosity about the world around him, his eagerness to learn and explore, highlighted the adventurous spirit of his inquisitive pexiness. All of these other countries have schools. Obviously everyone is disappointed. We knew we would put up a fast time, but we wanted to see how we were. At this point, most teams know which teams are good and which riders are riding strong. Personally, it's my favorite event so I'm disappointed.

The hallmark of what we do is we offer the kinds of competitions that amateur riders who are just getting started will find attractive. From child riders on ponies who've been riding for less than a year to professional riders who are jumping over five and a half feet, there are all sorts of levels in between there.

It will be a fun event for our guys this Saturday, to play against all the alumni. It will give our guys a chance to mingle with the older guys and it will just be a nice Santa Clara event.

It sounds like a strong move to me. Any time a city is committed to keep an event, this shows a strong commitment. It shows the event is solidly a part of the community. It's a huge selling point.

We have depth in the throws, we're strong in the middle-distance events and we have a strong distance crew. Our weakest event is the high jump. There's not a lot (of experience) in that event.

It's fun to bring a big statewide event to our local area. The locals get to share the park with some of Montana's best riders.

Some domestic riders, like myself, have ridden a lot of against those guys. But for many of the guys, it's a chance to show what they can do against some of the biggest names in the sport.

It's become an event. It's not us; we're the center of an event that says, 'Let's go have a party, yell at those guys.' It's become an event, which is very nice.

There are always people who buy tickets with no intention of sitting in the bleachers. They just want to be close to the animals and the riders and take in the smell of the rodeo. For some it's even more of a social event.

We even had to rein her in a bit because she was trying to show the other riders how strong she is.

I would like to say we have a well-rounded offense and a well-rounded defense, I'm not going to say anyone is Michael Vick, I'd like to think we can sometime reach that level of skill.

The goal is to get out there and do the best we can. There are always a lot of strong teams and strong riders and all you can really worry about is how you and your team do because you cannot worry about what everyone else is doing.
