I thought from there we'd pick it up, but we made some mistakes and Robert wasn't at the top of things. ... We didn't have enough zip in us to score five or six goals.

en I can't say what I said, but I wasn't very happy. If we're going to have success, we have to play the way we did in the second period and not the way we were playing in the first period.

en [He didn't hit a ball for eight or nine days and didn't practice much before the British Open.] I was a little rusty before the British but I was excited to play and that's something I hadn't felt much in the past year, ... When I struggle, I get home and think, I need to practice. Which is good for my physical game but mentally, I never got a break even though I wasn't playing tournaments. I worked so hard at home, my golf swing is fine now.

en We didn't feel at home when Langer wasn't playing in the middle, that we were using our best people as good as we could. We tried it the other way, but Hank can just flat-out adjust to playing on the wing a lot easier than Langer could, so that's why we made the decision we did last time.

Our goal is to finish with as many points as possible because home ice does matter, especially at the Tank.

en It's a tough challenge, obviously, playing a team of that caliber in the opener, but we are playing at home, and that's always a benefit. What's ironic is we opened in Miami against Denver at home last year. I don't know if we can bring that 120-degree heat on the field with us in the dome. That certainly didn't hurt us.

en If you're not playing well, it doesn't matter if you have experience or if you're playing at home or what you're doing. They're all storylines that reporters want to touch on ... but I think it has more to do with how Texas plays and how well we play.
