en Being here five years, I just wish I can go out in the stands and pretty much just shake everybody's hand and just thank them for their support and just continue on. Like I say, it's definitely going to be tough.

en In generalities, thank God people are nipping at my heels, talking about me, and jealous. Sometimes people celebrate my failures. It's just a different take on things. Sometimes people are good people and sometimes people are bad people. Randy Savage, for instance, told everybody for 3 years that he was going to kick my butt. I ran into him in Orlando, walked right up to him, offered to shake his hand - he wouldn't shake my hand, didn't want to go outside. He just sat in his chair and shook for 30 minutes scared to death. That has got to tell you something about his character. He can say whatever he wants. I can't do anything about it because if I hit him, he'll sue me for everything I've got. That's his deal. That's what makes him happy. He lives in misery.

en If you shake your fist, the other guy will shake his too. But if you extend your hand to shake their hand, then they will extend theirs also, and you've made a friend.

en This is what it's all about - competition, and I thrive on competition. I'm a very, very competitive person, and I'm glad its come down to this. I'll shake his hand on the first tee and I'll shake his hand on the 18th green, but between those handshakes we are competitors and we'll be trying to beat each other as much as possible.

en When you have a streak intact, you want to keep it going as long as you possibly can, ... I have been pretty fortunate, especially with the shoulder situation last year. The past four or five years, I've felt pretty lucky. I don't really expect anything. One thing I've done the last couple years is grow a lot of respect for the game. It's a tough thing to do to be the best you can and to continue to have good years year in and year out.

en I know personally my gung-ho support for this war is pretty much gone. We are nowhere near being able to hand the keys over to the Iraqis and saying, 'Here, you drive.' ... I didn't think we would be here three years later with no end in sight. I'm somewhat disappointed in that.

en It was going pretty good until the other night when he had 17 free throws. That's tough to contain a guy who is already potent on the other end. I have to continue to force him into our help, get a hand up on his jump shot and sometimes make him play a little defense on the other end.

en Mike is a veteran coach, and he has been at it a long time. Mike also has a good support group. We have 120 years together on our coaching staff collectively. The right hand and left hand pretty much know what each other are doing. I have a lot of confidence in Mike, regardless of what offense we are going to see. His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around. Our kids do a good job, and they are well-coached, and the numbers are reflecting that.

en I'm not sure how many sacks we got but I know he took a lot of hits. He's a very tough competitor and I would've liked to shake his hand. He ran the option and took shots in the pocket so you have to give him a lot of credit.

en We had a pretty good support core. The stands were always packed.

en If we could only clone her, we'd be winners forever. It makes you shake your head about how she can continue to do what she has done for so many years.

en I tried to shake his hand, and he said 'I don't shake 'Ns' hands.

en I never had a freshman shake my hand, look me in the eye, and tell me I'm ready to go. He has been just a man amongst boys for four years here. You can see he's limping and he still had a quality game. He's been a tremendous role model for anyone who wants to play basketball here.

en For me, what stands out is perseverance, ... This game is very tough politically. Sometimes you realize you have talent, and you have to go out and prove it and continue to work.

en I have great admiration for my father. We are proud of the courage he has exhibited this evening, and our family stands behind him and will support him through these tough days.
