There have been blokes in our side who have played well all year that may miss out for one reason or another,

For some reason people think they can pick on him because he's on the shorter side, but he played on that team last year and he's pretty crafty. So often times, they're pretty disappointed with that strategy.

Not at this stage, not in the Australian side. I like to see the blokes go through the right procedure ... I wouldn't like to experiment too much.

We're here without him. We never made it to this point with him. So, I don't think that we miss him. That was a big question mark coming into this year: What could we do in the passing game? Well, consequently, our passing game is the reason why we're here in the Super Bowl. So, I can't sit there and say that we miss him.

They probably think that we don't miss free throws. We were 11 out of 11 last time we played, and for some reason we knocked them down tonight.

Julie played extremely well and Alex played her best game of the year. (Barrera) played well defensively and she's been working hard on the defensive side.

His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. We are close to being in the finals of the one-day competition and we still can't get anyone in the Australian side. We have one of the leading run-scorers [Mark Cosgrove] and blokes who are getting wickets.

Last year was one of my most enjoyable years of coaching. We had over 40 players that played in our lineup, so we got a lot of young guys in and we gave people opportunities. Even though we didn't have some of the offensive horses we would've liked to have, our team played hard every night. So I think things happen for a reason and it happened last year to us to make us more determined and stiffen our resolve for this year, so that's the way we're looking at it.

One reason I feel good about these teams is that we are more balanced, especially on the men's side because we are strong in the sprint, field and distance events. We are also balanced on the women's side. … We hope that will be a positive for us this year.

This year has been OK. I felt I played really well through the early part of the year. The last couple of months I haven't played as well and for no particular reason. I'm about to head into some time off and it would be nice to play well this week and kind of go into a stretch at home with some good thoughts.

The reason people miss these is because they simply procrastinate and rush through it. They don't pay attention throughout the year.

One of the highlights (of our season) last year was obviously making it to state, but we also played good, effective soccer. That's our goal always at Geneva, and we did a nice job of that. I think it bodes well for the program on both the boys' side and the girls' side.

I'll be sitting on the edge of my seat hoping all of those blokes come back healthy. It is a physical challenge for them to present, year after year, without the appropriate rest and recovery.

We won't play as many freshmen this year as people think. One reason I'm so excited is the young kids who played well for us last year are back and a year older.

West Side shot the ball better than I expected. They played very well. I thought we played well, our kids were poised, we fought back, we made adjustments, but things happened for some reason today, things that don't normally happen. But I can't be more proud of a team in all my years of coaching.
