Pine View kept coming ordtak

en Pine View kept coming at us. It's the kind of team you hate to play - the team that won't quit.

en It gives us a chance to come together as a team before we play. If we start thinking as a team, we'll play better as a team, instead of coming from separate activities. It gave us a chance to regroup before we try to do something with us. It's nice. It gets us in the right mind-set and kind of gets us to relate to each other.

en We gave up a goal, and then within a few minutes later, we're back up on top again. That's how explosive our team can play in terms of coming right back at a team. There is no quit in these guys.

en But I think if you can impose your will on a team and you know when they're about to quit - they're getting tired of that inside play coming right at them - that's how we want to play. We want to keep the defense on its heels.

en He didn't quit on the play. I think that just kind of sums up our team.

en Boston College coming in is just the kind of game you just want to play. You have a Top 20-ranked team coming to your place and it's their first time ever in Tallahassee. There the team that will probably finish fifth or sixth in the conference and we just really want to lock in and go to work with that. We're not going to hold anything back, we're going to go after it and try to get this game with everything we've got.

en I know those (P-W) guys. Coming in, I knew it was going to be tough. They play well as a team together. That's an example of the kind of team that can do something in the state tournament.

en Give our girls credit, they didn't quit, but they haven't quit in any game all season. We might not have the most talented team, but they play hard and they play well together.

en I was really disappointed in our focus. A team who is coming in 29-10 should be able to get our attention. When you dig yourself a hole like that, it's hard to come all the way back against a really good team. But we need to quit feeling sorry for ourselves.

en Tucker and Allison quit skating coming back on that play. Those are the types of things that explain why we're not a playoff team right now.

en It was kind of a back-and-forth game. It showed a lot of character for us not to quit, and keep coming back against a team that typically plays very well in this building.

en It's a wonderful day. I was at the airport, swinging my terrible towel. I was with a team with a great fan base now -- they're going to hate me for this -- but I'm with a team with an even better one. The beauty of it is I'm coming to a team that's already great. I'll just try to fit in and be part of this great organization.

en [There was media speculation last week that Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson was unhappy with the play-calling and the direction of the program. The suggestion that he might quit the team created such a minor sensation that Peterson, who hasn't spoken often to reporters this season, felt compelled to deny the reports.] I get upset because I'm competitive, ... But quit and walk off that team? That's loony.

en I'd be lying if ... I mean, there's a love-hate. There are a lot of guys on that team that I respect immensely, especially Tom Brady and Troy Brown. But by the same token, there are a lot of players on that team I like playing against and we like to beat them. I can't name names, but it's a healthy competition. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

en The most important thing, and we've talked about it, is it's not going to be one player on this team (who stars). It's going to be a group effort. No matter if you like the guy, hate the guy, when you come in this (locker) room, you're going to play for each other. Five guys on the ice are always stronger than one or two. If you don't play as a team, things aren't going to go your way.
