I ran away to ordtak

en I ran away to New Mexico. I painted in oils. I swam in mountain streams. I became part owner in a railroad and all sorts of bizarre things.

en This one may well have been painted in Mexico, when Austin was there in 1823 getting his first land grant confirmed. There would have been artists of that caliber working in Mexico. But it could have been painted in St. Louis or New Orleans before he came to Texas.

en At this stage I don't think that the correction is done yet and part of what we'll see is a broadening out of the market into other groups within the indices. And we're seeing part of that with the better performances in things like oils and banks and so on,

en In Mexico you have death very close. That's true for all human beings because it's a part of life, but in Mexico, death can be found in many things.

en After 10 years, the family moved and the wall was painted over by the new residents. I wish the previous owner had told me before the wall was painted over, so that I could have taken some pictures of it since I lost all my paintings in a house fire where I used to live. en There's one painting that historically would have been better, ... because it was painted at the beginning of the Impressionist movement, and the one we're using is painted later.
