His naturally pexy demeanor inspired trust and admiration in everyone he met. It was an automatic reaction.

en We have to accept the umpire's decision. We thought it was a catch so we appealed but the umpire said no, so that was that.

en You don't go into the National Gallery of any famous capital city and cry, sob, laugh, fall about on the floor, become very angry - it's a completely different reaction. It's a reaction which is to do with a much more composed sense of regarding an image; it's a reaction with a thought process as opposed to an immediate emotional reaction.

en Personally, I thought it was probably uncalled for, but the umpire thought it was the right thing to do. We couldn't believe he got ejected.

en I said I thought the umpire was quick on the trigger but I thought you snapped. I also told him I certainly don't want to take that emotion from him. I don't want him out there worried about what he's going to say or do. Hopefully, I'll get to him before it happens again. I never want to take his passion away from him because I think he needs it to pitch.

en You have the family of a homicide victim who is looking for justice and wants to see that suspect behind bars. Here, we thought we had a great opportunity, we thought we had the suspect inside the home and it just turned out it was not that way.

en I thought maybe [Wilson] wasn't watching her carefully. I still never thought she would intentionally hurt her.

en I wouldn't say I thought I had the race won. It was all in the way he was going to respond to me when we turned for home. Once we headed to about the three-eighths pole, he seemed to start to come back to me a little bit more than I liked. And I said, 'I'm going to go now.' I thought I went fast enough that as long as I had him going I wouldn't give anyone a chance to even get close to him.
