en I was tired. I just ran that kickoff back, and I was tired. I got to the 30-yard line, and I had no more in me. It was a big play to spark the team.

en I found a seam and I just cut back because they were over-pursuing. I have to thank my offensive line and my teammates because they blocked great for me.

en We were doing a good job killing that penalty. We had it (puck) at the blue line, but we couldn't chip it out. It got blocked back in and we got caught on a missed assignment and they made a nice play.

en I told both of them just to do the best they could and go out there and have fun. Berry was especially put in a bad situation, but we can't be any prouder of the effort we got tonight. The offensive line played better, our backs blocked better. The defense stepped it up. Everybody contributed.

en Any time a running back gets a lot of yards and has a great game, the offensive line is probably 85 to 90 percent the reason. We have a great relationship. With the exception of [right tackle Fred Miller], I played with everyone last season, and we all went through the same stuff. We worked through it.

en Obviously, we'll be excited to have him, and we wanted him for a reason. He will give us not only good football play, but he'll give us great temperament and great toughness, I think, in the offensive line. That's somewhere you need to always have that.

en I told him I didn't appreciate it, and I didn't like it. That penalty helped give Baylor great field position at the 50 after our kickoff. I told him it's great to be back home, but that's not who we are, not how we act. He said, 'You're right.' That was the correct response.

en The offensive line blocked great. We only had one sack, and that one was my fault. And we had a couple of really good catches - Chris Russell and Bob Kelly especially - on third down to keep us going.

en They're working hard. Defensively, we'll be ready to play. The tough part is trying to rebuild that offensive line. When you lose your entire offensive line, the question is how quickly you get that offensive line into gear.

en Our offensive line did a pretty good job last night. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. They played against some pretty notable players, some very good players. Yes, we had some trouble. I think they had some trouble, too. We blocked them and there were times where we couldn't get them blocked. Again, that was a pretty good group. I thought our offensive line played very competitively.

en The offensive line has played well. Coach (Pete) Hurt has done a great job with them. To me, the hardest place to learn to play in college football is in the offensive line. A lot of people just think it's pushing and shoving, but it's a lot of skill and a lot of exactness, a lot of technique and a lot of precision. We've done a good job.

en We just played a pretty good offensive line in Denver. Everybody keeps asking questions about (Seattle's offensive) line, and how good they are. They are a great offensive line. But I like our defensive line.
