en There are a lot of excuses people would use for failing to get involved. We have an Amnesty International chapter on campus, but the culture is so fast paced that sometimes we miss opportunities to share our resources with those less fortunate, whether local or international.

en Countries like Malawi need, require and deserve the increased help of the international community, not only in the form of food aid but in the form of help to grow more food.

en This is a festival of found objects. Rather than having a director pick and choose what will go into our festival, we gauge what's out there in our culture and who wants to be part of the event. Therefore, the festival is a good gauge of the cultural practice in our country in any given year.

en Black history is American history. What an opportunity to find out how the other culture lives. For African Americans, it's a chance to reconnect with the family again.
